The Fujifilm FinePix JX500 camera features a 2.7" LCD screen that's been redesigned to be seen easier in sunlight when users are composing pictures or reviewing their shots. It also comes equipped with a 5x Fujinon optical zoom lens (26-130mm equivalent to a 35mm camera) with a powerful 14MP sensor designed to capture scenes packed with detail. Smile & Shoot and Blink Detection ensure that users never miss a memorable moment and as this camera has been re-engineered to lock focus on subjects in a shorter time than previous models, users are virtually guaranteed never to miss a shot that matters.
In addition to top-quality still images, the FinePix JX500 can capture video in 720p HD at 30fps. A new dedicated movie recording button on the rear of the camera makes it even quicker to start capturing video, and with the in-camera editing functionality offered, users can enjoy trimming, cropping and re-cutting their short movies in-camera without having to upload files to a computer. Once users are happy with their creations, they can watch the movies back on any HD ready TV - and also see their still pictures in Full 1080p HD.
Beyond standard still sizes, users can also choose to shoot panoramic images that are created using Fujifilm's auto-stitching technology - Motion Panorama mode. Capturing a breath-taking panorama couldn't be easier; simply depress the shutter button, sweep the camera across a scene and the camera will automatically stitch the images together to create a seamless image.
If you just want to point and shoot the FinePix JX500 also features SR Auto mode, which detects the type of scene being photographed and automatically adjusts the camera's settings to suit. Six different scenes can be detected on this mode that includes: Portrait, Backlit Portrait Macro, Landscape and Night.
Digital Image Stabilisation reduces blurring caused by camera shake using high sensitivity and fast shutter speeds allowing you to capture crisp and clear images of moving subjects.
Not sure whether you need the flash? Natural Light and With Flash takes two photos in quick succession, one with flash and one without, taking the guesswork out of flash photography; the only decision you have to make is which image you prefer.
